Synopsis
Palenque, a significant site of the Maya civilization, serves as the focal point in the pilot episode of Lost Worlds. The documentary series, produced by The History Channel, investigates various lost locations that reflect remarkable achievements in engineering, technology, and culture. Through archaeological evidence and expert interviews, the series visualizes these sites using CGI reproductions and photo-manipulated overlays. The first episode aired on April 4, 2005, and the series continued with 12 additional episodes in 2006 and 19 more in 2007.
