Standing on the cliffs of the west coast of Ireland, filmmaker Peter Hutton reflects on the perspective of immigrants who faced the sea as they sought to escape famine. The documentary captures the allure of the sunlit water while contemplating the sea's role as a barrier. Hutton recalls Henry David Thoreau's writing in "Cape Cod," particularly the story of the ship St. John, which met its fate after departing from Galway. The film runs for 15 minutes and was released in 2001.
