Rachel Carson's Silent Spring, published fifty years ago, warned of the dangers of pesticides. At the same time, the US military sprayed defoliants in Vietnam to eliminate cover for guerrilla forces. Agent Orange, one of these defoliants, contained dioxin, a toxic chemical. The effects of Agent Orange persist, impacting the health of children and grandchildren of those exposed in Vietnam and the United States. The documentary connects these historical events to ongoing environmental and health issues.
