Synopsis

On the island of Lipari, near Sicily, Nino captains a small boat with a twelve-man crew dedicated to the traditional practice of swordfish hunting. As they navigate the waters, the crew maintains intense focus, scanning the surface for signs of their elusive prey. The diesel engine hums steadily as hours pass in silence. Suddenly, excitement erupts from the crow’s nest when a pair of swordfish is spotted. This documentary pays tribute to a nearly vanished profession.
