Synopsis

Frontline workers in the UK’s domestic abuse sector faced unprecedented challenges during the 2020 lockdown. Calls to helplines surged by over 200% while service delivery dropped by more than 70%. Interviews recorded via Zoom capture the experiences of these keyworkers as they navigated their roles amid the pandemic. They recount their struggles with vicarious trauma and the dedication required to support those in need during a time of crisis. The film presents their stories and insights into the realities of their work.
