Synopsis

Shengal, the Ezidi capital in Kurdistan, Iraq, faced a brutal invasion by the Islamic State in the summer of 2014. During this assault, 5,000 Ezidi men were killed, and 7,000 women and children were taken into slavery. "Letters from Shengal" recounts these tragic events through the personal stories of five partisans.
