Synopsis

At the Indigenous Nations Poets #LanguageBack Workshops in 2024, participants gather at UW-Milwaukee and The College of Menominee Nation. Led by Kimberly M. Blaeser and Mark Freeland, the workshops focus on the poetic use of Native languages. Language revivalists, including Rosa King and Richard Oshkeshequoam, contribute their insights. The film features time-lapse photography of LED letter panels from the Overpass Light Brigade and a soundtrack that includes a poem by Jeremiah Moses, Jr.
