Synopsis

In January 2004, Namibia implements sweeping land reforms that threaten the livelihoods of hundreds of white farmers. Emmanuel Ismael, who owns a small farm in Duerreland, faces the possibility of losing his home due to President Sam Nujoma's land reclamation program. This initiative aims to address the needs of black farmers who are desperate for land, leading to the eviction of white farmers. Already, 192 foreigners have lost their farms as the Namibian government pursues a strategy to gain votes from the black farming community.
