Ladakh: Hell Beneath the Wheels

Synopsis

Adjai drives an old truck on a treacherous road from Manali to Leh, covering 500 kilometers through the Himalayan mountains. Along the way, he faces constant challenges, including steep climbs and unstable terrain. The road is only open for three months each year, buried under snow for the rest. Meanwhile, Tenzin observes the Hemis monastery, where sacred dances are disrupted by a surge of tourists. He sees the commercialization of the event as a threat to its spiritual significance.
