Synopsis

On February 25, 2022, a group of 18-year-old cadets, part of a rifle battalion, defended the bridge from Gostomel to Kyiv. Led by a general, they faced enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups during their first battle. Unaware of the full scale of Russian forces, the cadets held their ground for nearly a month, resisting multiple attempts to breach their defenses. Their actions at this critical location became a focal point in the early stages of the conflict.
