Ken Hall & The People Of Earth Aliens On Their Costume Woes
Synopsis
Michael plays a green reptilian Alien and shares his son's reaction to his character's look.
Synopsis
Michael discusses his role as an Alien, specifically a reptilian character, on the show. He describes the extensive process of becoming his character, which involves two and a half to three hours of gluing silicone on his head and face, followed by coloring the remaining parts green. This transformation is so intense that it resembles a tattoo, making it difficult to remove. Michael shares a humorous anecdote about introducing his six-year-old son to his character. He first sends a picture to his wife and then Skyped with them, but his son freaks out upon seeing him in the alien makeup, even though he recognizes his father's voice. The crew, who have worked with Michael for months, also struggle to recognize him in his alien form, treating him as if he is a new cast member. The conversation highlights the challenges and humorous moments of portraying a character that requires such a dramatic physical transformation.
