Synopsis

At Mehrangarh Fort in Rajasthan, composer Shye Ben Tzur collaborates with Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and producer Nigel Godrich to create the album Junun. Filmed in 2015, the documentary captures the vibrant atmosphere of the historic site as the group works with the Rajasthan Express, an Indian ensemble. Paul Thomas Anderson documents the creative process, revealing the fusion of Indian, Israeli, and Western musical traditions that defines the project. The film premiered at the New York Film Festival and was released on MUBI and iTunes later that year.
