Michael Cooper, known as Mini, began setting fires at the age of 8, culminating in an attempt to burn down his own house with his father inside. Now 21, Mini has spent over a decade in high-security psychiatric care. Recently released on conditional discharge, he adopts the stage name 'Johnny Oddball' in pursuit of a career as a magician. The film juxtaposes his past with his present, capturing Mini's challenges as he confronts the consequences of his actions and seeks to understand his family's struggles.
