Synopsis

Shai's son, Omar, is taken hostage by Hamas in Gaza, a fact Shai knows because Hamas releases a video showing Omar being beaten and cursed at. The 22-year-old lies in the back of a pickup truck, and this footage becomes one of the first to alert the world to the violence occurring in southern Israel. Shai recalls that Omar was at a festival with his friend Kim Damty when the attack began. Kim is killed shortly after they take cover in a bunker. Shai expresses his hope for a careful approach to the situation, urging the Israeli government and the IDF to prioritize humanitarian efforts and protect civilians before any large-scale military action. Meanwhile, Elan and Mirit Regf, parents of another hostage, share their anguish as their children, Meer and I, are also taken by Hamas gunmen during the chaos. The families endure sleepless nights filled with fear and uncertainty as they await news of their loved ones.
