Synopsis

In Mongolia’s coldest valley, the Tsakhir Valley, horses mean life for the local herders. During the harsh Iron Winter, survival becomes a collective effort as herders protect their horses from brutal arctic storms. For generations, they have built a giant winter herd, nominating their bravest young men to safeguard it. This tradition serves as a coming of age ritual, but five years ago, environmental pressures disrupt this way of life, leading to the abrupt end of this vital practice. Elders express deep concern over the potential loss of their culture and vow to preserve their heritage amidst these challenges.
