Synopsis
Alexander faces significant challenges living as a transgender man in a country where his identity is unrecognized. His passport labels him as 'female', creating barriers to employment and healthcare. To begin hormone therapy, he must do so in secrecy. Meanwhile, his wife, Mari, considers becoming a surrogate mother for $12,000 to improve their situation. As Mari's pregnancy progresses, both develop a deep emotional bond with the unborn child, complicating their initial plans for survival.
