Synopsis

Roger Koza, a film critic with philosophical interests, questions the essence of nature while attempting to capture it through his phone camera. He is joined by filmmakers from various countries, art historians, and a scenographer from a natural science museum. Together, they consider different methods of representing nature. The film blends fiction and documentary elements, creating a playful collage that reflects on the nature of cinema itself. "Instead of Trees" runs for 80 minutes and was released in 2026.
