Synopsis

Engineer Andrée launched an expedition to the North Pole in 1897 using a hydrogen balloon. The mission ended tragically as Andrée and his two companions vanished. In 1930, a sealing ship discovered their remains on Kvitøya, Svalbard, revealing perfectly preserved bodies, notebooks, and film reels. Filmmaker Robin Hunzinger reconstructs the events of the expedition, piecing together the clues left by the explorers.
