Synopsis

Alba Caceres serves as the only Guatemalan consul on the south Texas border during a significant international immigration crisis. For years, she witnesses the influx of record numbers of Central Americans entering the United States. Surrounded by the tragedies faced by her fellow countrymen, Caceres ultimately decides to step down from her position this year.
