Kayseri Idadi opened its doors in 1893, becoming a significant educational institution during the late Ottoman period. Under Sultan Abdulhamid II, education reforms spread from Istanbul to various regions, including Anatolia. The school faced the challenges of the Balkan Wars and the First World War, eventually transforming into Kayseri Sultani. Its proximity to Ankara allowed students to participate in the War of Independence, including the Battle of Sakarya. Atatürk visited the school, which later became known as Kayseri High School in the Republican era.
