Synopsis
Kermit the Frog and Jim Henson co-host the 1980 World Puppetry Festival in "Here Come the Puppets." Recorded for PBS, the special features performances from notable puppeteers such as Burr Tillstrom, Shari Lewis, and Bil Baird. Other acts include Sergei Obraztsov and Manteo's Sicilian Marionettes from New York City. The program also showcases Frank Ballard's "Ring of the Nibbelung," a piece from the Puppet Arts head at the University of Connecticut.
