On the eve of Adolf Eichmann's trial in Jerusalem, the defendant watched Alain Resnais' film NIGHT AND FOG. Leo Hurwitz recorded this projection in black and white, capturing the moment in a shot-countershot format without sound. Nearly fifty years later, Chris Marker, who had previously worked as an assistant director on NIGHT AND FOG, combined Hurwitz's footage with the original color images and sounds from the French film. The result is Henchman Glance, a 33-minute documentary that intertwines these historical elements.
