Edward Weki, a 75-year-old man in the final stages of Parkinson’s, lies in bed as spectral figures visit him. Alma, the nurse from Ingmar Bergman’s film Persona, and a female version of Death from The Seventh Seal appear to assist him. Together, they guide Weki in recovering lost memories of his life on the island of Farö. The film intertwines themes of memory and mortality against the backdrop of Bergman’s cinematic legacy.
