Synopsis

Duan Chang-wen left Sichuan, China, in 1949, relocating to Taiwan with the Government of the Republic of China. His wife, Duan Tsai Tsai-chiung, worked in a textile factory. For four decades, they lived in a military dependents' village, contributing to the local clothing industry. As the factory closed and the village faced demolition, many residents departed. The couple remained, while their granddaughter documented their lives and memories in this 27-minute film.
