Rashid Masharawi founded the Masharawi Fund for Cinema and Filmmakers in Gaza to support local talent. From Ground Zero features 22 short films directed by Palestinian filmmakers, created in response to the Gaza war. Each film, lasting between 3 to 7 minutes, presents varied genres such as fiction, animation, and documentary. The anthology premiered on July 5, 2024, at the Amman International Film Festival. It was later selected as the Palestinian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 97th Academy Awards.
