Farhad Bandesh and Mostafa Azimitibar spent nearly eight years detained under Australia’s offshore processing regime after fleeing Iran. During their confinement, they formed a close friendship and used music and art to advocate for the rights of fellow detainees. Directed by Angus McDonald, "Freedom Is Beautiful" presents their story and addresses issues related to human rights and the treatment of refugees in Australia.
