Synopsis
Chris Gerrard collects fragments of Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein in Frankenstein (Re)Membered. The 38-minute documentary spans from the birth of cinema to the present day. It features adaptations starring Boris Karloff, Robert De Niro, and even Alvin and the Chipmunks. The film connects themes of science and understanding found in works like Jurassic Park, E.T., The Hulk, and Arrival. Gerrard stitches these elements together to create a new interpretation of Shelley’s original novel.
