Synopsis
Elderly Japanese men recall their experiences as former soldiers in Thailand and Burma during the final days of World War II. They hid from the departing Japanese troops and formed new lives with local families. Through a series of interviews, these men share their stories of survival and adaptation in a foreign land. The documentary, released in 2009, runs for 106 minutes and provides a personal perspective on a lesser-known aspect of the war's aftermath.
