In a series of personal testimonies, gay men and women of faith recount their struggles to reconcile their sexuality with their religious beliefs. Many of these individuals participated in "ex-gay" ministries, which they found did not provide the promised change. Instead, they discovered that acceptance and understanding came from within themselves. The film shifts focus from the "ex-gay" movement to the individual stories that illustrate the complex relationship between faith and identity.
