Synopsis

Michael Matthews stood at the summit of Mount Everest on May 7, 1999, becoming the youngest Briton to reach the peak. Just three hours later, he disappeared in a snowstorm. "Finding Michael" recounts the extensive search efforts by various organizations to locate him. The film also captures the emotional struggles of Matthews' family as they confront the uncertainty surrounding his fate. Directed by Tom Hutchings, the documentary runs for 100 minutes and addresses the dangers of high-altitude climbing.
