Synopsis
Tom E Lewis travels to his Grandmothers’ country to seek permission from the Jungayi to learn the Thumbul corroboree, also known as the Morning Star. After years of silence, he receives his family's blessing through ceremony. With their support, Tom prepares to find Sandy Island, or Maawirrangga, by singing. This 15-minute documentary, directed by Dylan River, features Lewis and family members John Nyalik Murrungun and David Nyalik Murrungun.
