Synopsis
Karsten Heuer and Leanne Allison begin their 5,000-kilometre trek in Canmore, Alberta, with their two-year-old son and dog. They follow the path of Canadian writer Farley Mowat, visiting locations depicted in his works such as Never Cry Wolf and People of the Deer. The couple canoes to Hudson Bay and sails to northern Labrador, retracing Mowat's literary journeys before arriving at his summer home in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, in October 2007. Finding Farley won the Grand Prize and People's Choice awards at the 2010 Banff Mountain Film Festival.
