Synopsis

Mamoru Samuragochi lives in a small apartment in Yokohama with his wife and cat. Once celebrated as a "Japanese Beethoven," the composer faced scandal in 2014 when Takashi Niigaki revealed he had ghostwritten Samuragochi's music for 18 years. Niigaki's claims included that Samuragochi could hear perfectly and could not notate music. As Samuragochi's career collapsed, Niigaki gained fame on television talk shows. Filmmaker Tatsuya Mori captures their conflicting narratives.
