Expedition Amazon – Into the Waters

Synopsis

Over two years, the Rolex and Perpetual Planet Amazon Expedition studied the Amazon River Basin across six countries, from the Nevado Mismi in Peru to the Meeting of the Waters in Brazil. Explorers Thomas Peschak, Fernando Trujillo, Thiago Silva, and Julia Tavares highlight the region's biodiversity, including a rescue manatee named Moechi in Colombia and the rare gilded catfish in Bolivia's clearwaters. This initiative, supported by Rolex, aims to document environmental changes in the Amazon and promote conservation efforts.
