Synopsis

In the Chilean Atacama desert, astrophysicist Jim Simons leads a team investigating the origins of time. They compete to determine the validity of the Big Bang theory against alternative explanations. The film spans six years, capturing the intense scientific pursuit set against the stark beauty of the Andes. At the same time, Atacameno elders share their philosophical views on the cosmos, offering a contrast to the scientists' empirical inquiries. The documentary intertwines these narratives of modern science and ancient wisdom.
