Synopsis
Maritza, a Nicaraguan refugee, rides a train through Costa Rica, revealing the country's diverse population. Along the way, she meets Emerita, a coffee worker from Panama, and Janis, who resides in an abandoned Caribbean village. Their stories challenge the perception of Costa Rica as predominantly white. Directed by Gabriel Serra Argüello, "El Mito Blanco" addresses themes of migration and racial justice, presenting a more complex view of the nation’s identity.
