Synopsis

Kunar province in northeastern Afghanistan served as the backdrop for “Eight Full Moons.” Filmmakers spent five weeks in 2010 documenting the experiences of soldiers stationed near the Pakistan border. The film captures raw emotions as soldiers confront the dangers of war. One scene features a soldier who survives an ambush, revealing the immediate aftermath of his injury.
