Synopsis

Conservation biologist Tim Shields operates in the Mojave Desert, where he confronts the declining population of desert tortoises threatened by raven predation. Traditional conservation methods have proven insufficient. In response, Shields employs unconventional tactics, including lasers, exploding model turtles, drones, and desert rovers. His innovative approach aims to protect the tortoises and restore their numbers in a rapidly changing environment. The 17-minute documentary captures his urgent mission and the technology he utilizes.
