Dry Ground Burning

Synopsis

Léa returns to the Sol Nascente favela in Brasília after her release from prison. She reunites with her half-sister Chitara, who leads an all-female gang. This group steals and refines oil from underground pipes, selling gasoline to a network of motorcyclists. Their actions serve as a form of political resistance against Jair Bolsonaro's regime. The women confront dangers in their environment while asserting their presence and challenging the forces that seek to control them.
