Li Wake, a performance artist, navigates life on the fringes of society alongside fellow creators Wang Yongping, Ding Defu, and poet Motou Beibei, who works as a security guard. Set against a backdrop of stark living conditions, the artists engage in passionate discussions about their craft and the uncertainties they face. Their conversations reveal a sense of ennui and hopelessness as they grapple with their artistic identities and the challenges of everyday life. "Dream Walking" runs for 85 minutes and was released in 2005.
