Synopsis

In September 1987, two scrap collectors entered the abandoned Goiânia Radiotherapy Institute in Goiânia, Brazil. They discovered an old radiotherapy device and took it to a junkyard. After disassembling the machine, they found a capsule containing a blue powder that glowed in the dark. The radiation from this capsule spread through the city, contaminating over a hundred people. The documentary presents a collage of images that reflect the lasting impact of this nuclear accident on the community.
