Synopsis

They are one of only about a dozen animals that have ever shared a close relationship with humans. Today, dogs vary dramatically in size, shape, colour, and behaviour, showcasing a remarkable range of individual characteristics. Regardless of their size, the gestation period for dogs remains consistent at about 63 days. At just over 2 weeks since their Golden Retriever conceived, she is already a quarter of the way through her pregnancy. Inside her uterus, an amazing process is underway as the embryos develop, highlighting the unique biological processes that occur in dogs during gestation.
