Synopsis
John George Diefenbaker (1895-1979), the 13th Prime Minister of Canada and leader of the Progressive Conservative Party, had a political career that spanned six decades. Following his death in 1979, his state funeral and final train journey west became a significant moment of national reflection. The film interweaves historical footage and contemporary scenes to honor Diefenbaker's legacy, illustrating how Canadians came together to pay tribute to "The Chief" and celebrate his contributions to the nation.
