Synopsis

Gaël, now an adult, seeks to reconnect with the memory of his mother, Didy, who died when he was five. Her life was shaped by the civil wars, genocide, and AIDS that devastated Burundi and Rwanda, leading to her exile in Switzerland. Thirty years later, Gaël travels to meet individuals who knew Didy, piecing together fragments of her story and his family's history against the backdrop of their tumultuous past.
