Synopsis
Ila prison and administrative detention center houses individuals with serious mental illnesses in its basement. These inmates are isolated from the rest of the prison population. They do not receive psychiatric treatment, which exacerbates their conditions. Over time, their mental health deteriorates, leading to increased danger for themselves and others. Directed by Katja Høgset, "Detained and Abandoned" runs for 53 minutes and addresses the challenges faced by this vulnerable group.
