Sixteen years after a failed escape from the GDR, three individuals reunite to revisit the sites of their youth and reflect on their shared past.
Synopsis
In 1987, Suse's boyfriend Matthias attempts to flee the German Democratic Republic with her best friend Susanne. Their escape fails, leading to their capture by the Stasi, who seek to break their spirits. Sixteen years later, the three reunite. Before meeting, they revisit the locations of their youth, including the sites of their escape and imprisonment. Through these memories, they confront their shared past, which remains the only connection between their lives today.
