Synopsis
Marije Meerman attended the anti-authoritarian daycare center Prins Constantijn in Amsterdam around 1970. There, a collective of parents aimed to raise children as socially critical, creative, and inclusive individuals. Twenty-five years later, Meerman reconnects with her former daycare-mates. She investigates their lives and the ideals instilled in them during their childhood. The film reflects on the outcomes of these early experiences and the lasting effects of the collective’s approach to parenting.
