Synopsis
Tokyo's Béjart Ballet partnered with the Tokyo Ballet and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Israel for a performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. Directed by Arantxa Aguirre, Dancing Beethoven follows the dancers and musicians during their intensive rehearsals. The film captures their efforts to prepare for this monumental work, choreographed by Maurice Béjart. Through various scenes, it presents the interaction between ballet and orchestral music across the symphony's four movements.
