Constitution Day Highlights 2015

Synopsis

Constitution Day and Citizenship Day at the National Archives in Washington, D.C., marked the 228th anniversary of the signing of the United States Constitution. The event featured a naturalization ceremony in the Rotunda, where new citizens took the oath of citizenship. Family activities were held in the Boeing Learning Center, while the McGowan Theater hosted discussions on constitutional democracy, including a book talk with Senator Mike Lee and a panel on "The Young Madisons: Why a New Generation is Standing Up for the Constitution." Programs were supported by the National Archives Foundation and John Hancock Financial.
