In 1928, central Australia became the site of a tragic event following the murder of a white dingo trapper. Over one hundred Indigenous people were killed during a series of punitive expeditions. Survivors fled from the massacre sites, facing dislocation from their lands. They were denied a voice at the official inquiry into the events.
